Apple to start a record label?
According to a www.macrumors.com story, they say that Apple, Jay Z and Beyonceare starting a record label. In my opinion, this is the future. Apple gets a their own label and signs their own talent. They can then offer ideal contracts to their talent. The musicians may be able to work out a download percentage from Apple. Lets say with a regular label they would get 4¢ for every download. With Apple's label they be entitled to say 70¢ per download. Thats powerful. Also, Apple would be able to use that as leverage with the other labels who are pressuring Apple to raise their download price from 99¢.The full rumor can be read herehttp://www.macrumors.com/2007/07/15/apple-to-start-record-label-with-jay-z-and-beyonce/-Matson

A Wi-Fi Ipod?
Apple has a few patents in for what hints at a Wi-Fi Ipod.Yes, I'll take one. As the last couple of weeks have gone by I have thought about the ipone and everyday there are stories of what people like and don't like about it. Most of the reviews I read are giving the iphone a good rating.I am one of those that will wait until the next gen comes out. Maybe the price and applications will be better. But if you could take the phone aspect out and possibly add more hard drive space, the ability to surf the web (a 3G would be nice) I think it has the potential to be bigger than the iphone. Image that. Also if could put together a wish list, I would like it to have the wide touch screen added too.-Matson
